WHAT I WORE TODAY

Today I decided to dress as a Scottish grunge fairy, the local charity shop has all the best items! Tartan is in so how could I not buy this £2 bargin. My right legs looks odd and I seriously need to loose the arm flab but this was a good look, dress up with heels dress down with boots and a leather jaket. I will forever be a grunge girl.

What I wore yesterday
*GAP vintage dungarees, Brick lane Vintage boutique* Rose head piece, Her Curious Nature*

Yesterday I was traveling London all day, visiting Brick lane and Somerset House to See London Fashion Weekend. I opted for the baggy casual denim with boots look and jazzed it up with thin tights and my velvet rose hairpiece by Her Curious Nature. These photos where after a long day traveling and shopping, Elle was the best part of the day, free Benefit makeup and 12 Elle magazines throughout the year for £15!
How was your Saturday?

Browns Labels For Less

Browns Labels For Less
Yesterday at London Fashion Weekend the brand Browns Labels For Less was lovely and happy enough for me to try on some of their extraordinary embroided jackets. It was such a privilege trying and photographing myself in these jackets. My fave jacket was of course the vintage inspired leather jacket, it was so warm and such a perfect fit, the tassels on the sleeve gave the jacket that country vintage feel and look.  Being a student the jacket was obviously £1,300 out of my £40 budget but the fact I wore the jackets gave me a huge smile anyway!

The AW13 Trend Show

Stylist Pandora Lennard, a former fashion editor at Tank Magazine and 'O', the Observer's fashion supplement, Pandora regularly styles fashion shows, looks books and private film and music industry clients.
Back To Nature- Designers including Erdem, Mary Katranzo, Michael van der Ham and Mulberry all went back to nature in their AW13 collections. Expect camouflage, fur, feather prints, tree prints, autumnal colours, rich browns and mossy greens.
Pretty In Pink- Influenced by the 80s film Pretty in Pink, the AW catwalks featured pink in all its hues as a big colour story. From Antipodium and John Rocha to PPQ Roksanda llincic and Simone Rocha, as you can see this key look is across a range of fabrics from sheer to textual.
Shape Up- Last season’s big geometric look continues adding colour and excitement to winter. Designers including Holly Fulton, House of Holland, Matthew Williamson and Temperley went retro featuring a rage of psychedelic 70s wallpaper style prints.

Toni & Guy Catwalk Hair
Hot Trend Super Long Locks- Mused by model Kristen McMenamy and adolescents with hair that had never been cut- slightly gothic; the look has a medieval undertone within the texture. Plaiting longer lengths created this and then undoing them to create a broken waved finished.

The show was such an amzing expierence and exciting to see what trends I can minipulate into my own look and style this Autumn/ Winter, note to one self; must purchase more Faux Fur!

LFWeekend

I wore a casual London look, oversized leather bag- H&M coatigan- ASOS Baggy black dress- H&M Leather boots- H&M statement necklace- H&M

This year London Fashion Weekend was full of treats and features from Maybelline to cannon, goody bags where coming out of my ear holes I had so many, was defiantly in my element, although perhaps the electric blue color shock mascara from Maybelline and chocolate lip stick from M&S weren’t really my thing I did enjoy the free M&S Percy pigs and exclusive Maybelline color show vintage leather nail varnish, at the end of the day you cant beat anything free so smiles from me all day and possibly all year round.

Maybelline, Elle and Vodafone where the main sponsors at London Fashion Week & Weekend, they introduced exclusive beauty talks and offers, the best offer that I couldn’t turn down was 12 Elle magazines monthly for £15 including two benefit beauty products, how good is that one!! Clearly when I left the day more bronzed and dolled up, there was a huge Cheshire smile on my face.

There were countless designers showing their work in pop up studios, from Valentino to Henry Holland all of them head to toe in diamonds, fur and embroidery, all to die for. Looking through the pop up studios was a tiny boutique Her Curious Nature, hand made accessories, from velvet roses to suede hats, I just couldn’t leave empty handed, perhaps paying £25 for a velvet rose hair piece was slightly over priced it was London Fashion Weekend money is never a second thought there, perhaps thats the reason why a few tears overwhelmed me when I looked at my bank statement this morning..

All in all I can not wait to hit London again for February shows and designers, has to be one of the best experiences to see what street styles and trends are about this Autumn/Winter and to meet some really outgoing and unique people.
